The subtitle of the film “Folie a Deux” means “The Madness of Two”
Story
Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleason and director-screenwriter Todd Phillips talk about what scared them most about creating a musical sequel. In addition, Gaga talks about how she entered and remained in her dark image. in French. Initially, this led to speculation about the appearance of Harley Quinn in the film, which was soon confirmed.
instead of Gotham City
The name Folie a Deux comes from the French psychiatrists of the 19th century, Charles Lasseg and Jules Falret. This term was coined to denote two or more people who share the same insanity or delusion. It is also known as Laseg-Fallre syndrome. The chairman of the jury talks about “People of New York”. This is because New York State is the prosecutor in the criminal case, and this version of Gotham City is obviously located in New York State (in most versions, Gotham is located in New Jersey).

Arthur Fleck: [Written as an ominous autograph with a sad smiley face. The film opens with a Looney Tunes splash, showing the Warner Bros logo surrounded by rings and the Joker’s face. Shown in the movie Crazy Cartoon AniMat: The Evil Discovery of Life (2022). “Fun We Ride” Authors: Eddie Kantor, Murray Mencher and Charles Tobias. If “Joker 2” was designed to expand the exhausted psyche of Arthur Fleck, it only increased my boredom.
Fleck’s evolution (or lack thereof) feels more like a series of jumbled, isolated walls than a coherent story
What made the first film so intriguing – the slow descent into madness – has been replaced by a maddened, disjointed attempt to outdo its predecessor without any real sense of direction. The film struggles to find its tone, oscillating between forced social commentary and a carnival of absurdity, leaving neither food for thought nor fun moments to hang on to. It’s as if the filmmakers thought that more chaos automatically meant more depth, but instead it looks like an empty spectacle without any of the philosophical thought that the original reflected. The character development was superficial, as if they hoped we wouldn’t notice the lack of history under the avalanche of neon chaos and sinister laughter. Joaquin Phoenix, an actor always devoted to his work, tried his best, but even his acting could not save the script, which was more like a list of provocations than a real journey.
Don’t miss this moment
Joker 2 is a poor imitation of its predecessor, it’s like asking to laugh at the same joke twice – only this time it doesn’t work, and you wonder why you thought it was funny in the first place.
